This is a great little kit! I had a bunch of IN12 tubes that I bought from ebay which I used with it. It was very easy to solder the "socket" pins to the board. I clipped the pins off of the strip, attached them to the legs of the nixie tube and carefully guided them through the board, then soldered them all one tube at a time. It did not come with any instructions on how to set the time or change the color of the RGB backlights, but with some exploring I was able to figure it out. clicking the down button puts the clock into "set" mode, with the first digit flashing. press up to change the value, and down to switch to the next digit. To change the backlight color you LONG press the down button. It has a handful of available colors, and one that flashed through a number of them before settling on magenta. I am not sure if that has any specific purpose... the backlight options seem to be: red, green blue, lavender, yellow, ice blue, magenta, that weird multi colored, and off.
