Nice clean output, measured about 2mV of ripple at 2A load, same at 1A. With 2A continuous it barely gets warm. One of the best BEC's I've tested for output regulation, low noise and continuous current delivery.

Using an external uBEC is necessary if the power consumption exceeds Your BEC abilities. This one is a switching type, hence more efficient than what is in Your regular BEC. I cannot check the 4A continuous/6A burst power of this, but if it does what it says on the tin, it should be good for powering 6 servos.

This UBEC looks good and is small and light. I bench-tested it and it works as expected: at 4Amps output decreases to 4.86V (-2,8%). At 5 Amps Vout goes down to 4,8 (-4%) but it is still stable. Above 5 voltage drops fast. Overload protection works well. Under charge the heat is reasonable, but I recommend to place it in a ventilated place. At the end. I think it can be placed in models with 4+ servos and give a good service.

So far I am using it for bench tests, but it might end up in a 450 or 500 size helicopter. The littlle I have tested so far it works just fine. If anyone wants to know more about it's data, it is based on the IC APW7080. Data for the chip is easy to find on the net. It is compact and low weight. It is easy to change output voltage between 5 and 6 volt. It is also nice that it works over the wide input range from 2S (some 8 volts or less) to 6S (some 25 volts).

Steady 5,08v from 2c,3c,4c with a variable load. Didn't test the 6v function as I would have to break the shrink tube, but there's no reason to doubt that it's accurate. Weighs 15g.
