Purchased to connect pc (MythTv) in the lounge room to the tv on the back veranda. They are 10 metres apart and there is a glass sliding door and partial masonary block wall between them. I did not expect it to work after reading the reviews but surprisingly it does.
The packaging was good considering it was on preorder from China to Canada then forwarded to me in Australia there was no sign of damage to box or contents.
The extension hdmi cables supplied are a bit short (100 mm) as the transmitter needs to be placed near the front of the pc in order to get a good signal but that is a minor problem. Ideally you need line of site with no obstructions between the tx and rx modules but with a bit of fiddling I am getting a reasonably consistent signal with tables and doors in the path.
It is not suitable for 5.1 or 7.1 channel audio. All you hear is a chopping noise like a helecopter but is works perfectly with the pc hdmi audio output set to stereo.
The instructions and on screen display are in chinglish (see photos) but it is easy enough to use. Just plug the hdmi cables in first for the data then the usb cables for the 5v dc to power the transmitter and receiver units.
