I have used other than Spektrum brand satellite receivers before. This is my first experience with the Redcon brand and so far it has been a good experience. I connected it to a LemonRC 6 channel receiver to bind to my Spektrum DX6 Radio and it immediately bound and all functions are as expected. My first flight and initial range test was on par with my other satellites and it appears to be a good performer at an exceptional price. Time will be the final judge on how well this satellite will perform, but I see no reason why this piece shouldn't deliver as expected.

Seems to be a great receiver. Very small in size so great for those limited space builds. For those running a Naze32 flight controller, I had problems binding the receiver to my DX6i using Cleanflight. Instead, I had an old CC3D FC lying around so tried to bind through that and OpenPilot first which did the trick, I then transferred the receiver over to the Naze32 with no problems. Hope this helps.

Utilisation sur un contrôleur de vol Naze32. Bind par CLI. Petit et léger. Peut être retiré de l'affaire si nécessaire.

I have three of these, one came with a 6CH CM651 and two separate. I did a range test with all three and one Spektrum. I installed them all on the same quad, in the same position, with the two antennas in a straight line, and my DX6i in range check mode. All three Redcon have consistent link up to more than 80 steps (about 88 meters with my step) and started being intermittent after that, between 83 to 87 steps. I even hovered the quad from 70 steps in range check mode. Not bad at all considering that Spectrum requirement is to have total control from 30 steps. Is true that Spectrum in the same conditions went solid up to 105 steps and was intermittent at 110 steps but comparing the price Redcon is a winner from the range point of view. I flew the quad with the least sensitive one at full power after that with no issues. Now the bad news. One of the three has a hard time binding and connecting. I bond them using the CM651 and the main receiver LED came on solid waaay before the satellite. It take between 30 to 50 seconds to bind. Once bond, it takes a long time to get a solid LED at power up, can take anywhere between 10 to 15 seconds. Once connected it seems to work fine but I'm a bit scared to use the affected one. So two out of three are ok, one I'm not sure. Maybe BG team can give an opinion?

I was able to plug this in to a Naze32 flip32 board and bind fine with my transmitter. All 8 channels are available.

able to bind in DSMx mode using DX8 does not work on 5v, although it did not burn up when i tried it with 5v needs 3.3v to work

No need to find and solder the 3.3v power line on the CC3D nano board which can be fiddly.... very good....
