Overview:
We all love twin-engine planes, don’t we? They look cool in the sky, sound great and satisfy that folk tale in the back of our brains (which is completely true), that “if one engine fails, we have more chances to make it home than with a single-engine aircraft”. This is the first time that SonicModell releases a plane based on requirements from private and government organizations to the hobby community.
That’s right, Binary wasn’t bo rn for the FPV enthusiasts, but for the people that flies every day UAVs for a living. Many of those organizations were flying several type of airframes (usually extremely large) and approached us with a list of requirements for a plane, that can not only be used for their missions, but also to train new pilots. They needed something easier to carry, fully featured, and with lower risk in case of a crash. Yes, huge, heavy birds they do their job, but in the words of some of the pro pilots: “We do a lot of our missions over urban terrain… if an 8Kg UAV will hit your head while your walking to work, your day will be ruined… Having said that, we cannot compromise performance and features. They all should be there”.Having that in mind and for the lapse of one year, we created several prototypes, until we got the perfect balance in every area without compromises. As we’re writing this, Binary has been adopted as a quick deployment UAV by 4 different government organizations, 3 private companies (Mapping, Security survey and Sea life watch). According to their records, in total, Binary has more than 375 successful missions (with no planes lost so far), hundreds of hours of training for rookie pilots and has been prove n in the hardest conditions.
Now it’s time to release her to the FPV community.

дошло за 2 недели из Москвы. доставка до квартиры сервисом eml. упаковано в двойную коробку, всё целое. сам самолёт отличается от первой версии прозрачным фонарем.

The Binary has a fairly thin wing chord that makes it prone to tip stalling especially if flown under a heavy load. I have added 70x4mm Balsa wood to the trailing edge. This modification is simple to do and it does a superb job of making this plane super easy to fly without any tip stalling in the turns and only using a 1/3 throttle. flys for around 25 minutes using a 4s 3300mah lipo. The Binary is an easy build and the foam is of excellent quality. definitely worth buying the electric pack with the twin motors and 40amp escs, but make sure you glue the engine mounts in with top quality glue/epoxy as they are prone to working loose. A few people had a few bad words to say about this plane because of tip stalling. just do the simple modification to the wing and it will be fine. You can leave it as stock but you will need to keep the speed up in the turns. This is now one of my favourite planes and it has lots of room for all your Fpv gear and a nice shelf for a flight controller.

Вот это самолет! После рептилии он огромный))) До москвы прям сам долетел наверное, потому что посылка ехала всего лишь 16 дней. Самолет пережил транспостировку отлично, все в идеале, все хорошо склеенно, приклеенно, и ровно прикрученно. Все суупер, спасибо большое!

if your reading this wondering if to buy it or go with another plane. just buy it, it is easily the best, most stable fpv plane I have ever owned, and I have around 20. my recommendation is dont cheap out on the motors buy the suggested power pack combo, it just works flawlessly.

WOW, A super stable model that is not afraid of the wind. It has a lot of space inside where you can easily fit a 3000-10000mAh package.
Ps earlier I had the ZOHD TALON GT and this model is made of much better foam - I recommend.

Beautiful fpv plane I ever had. Fast Delivery for 7 days. This plane also fast to build. Takes me 3 hours install all electronic and power systems. Much faster than build mini talon. Using Racestar 2207 1600kv motor, DYS XS30A esc, 7x4.5x3 prop that I took all from my Long-range quad. Can't wait for a maiden.
