Минусы (недоработки): шейка коленвала плохо обработана, может повредить вкладыши; после сборки есть проблемы с землёй, что может убить блок зажигания и датчик хола. Если это происходит проблематично найти запасной. Также есть проблема проскакивания искры на массу. Фиксится диаэлектрической смазкой.

I finaly got it after several months, runs well on 2% mixed gasoline or lighter fluid, setting is 3/8 turn. Powered by 18650 battery with USB charger board, toggle switch and a green LED (+ a 100 ohm resistor). I put a 1/4-32 cap to connect the CDI to the spark plug. DO NOT connect the engine ground wire to the ignition case, connect it to the battery negative terminal.

First off don’t throw away the packaging before fishing out the pushrod! It took me a while to get “starting” figured out. Turns out I was flooding the engine badly. I positioned the gas tank so the bottom was about 2 inches below the carb. I use camp fuel with WD-40. The designer recommends a 93/7% ratio. Now I prime once and it usually starts in 1 or 2 flips. I hid the batt pack and ignition under the base. For the spark plug connection I used a small ring terminal that I split open.

I received my all metal hit & miss engine a couple of days ago and just made a temporary mount to run it on today. I was thinking about fuel choices and as these engines use a mixer (no carb/jets) I went with alcohol. I use regular 91% "store bought" isopropyl alcohol and Motul 100% synthetic ester 2 cycle go kart racing oil. It runs much cooler than it would on gasoline. It hand starts very easily and the firing cycle is like my full scale 2-1/2 hp John Deere engine. Thanks BangGood!

It took about 4 months to get here, however, it was well worth the wait. I am continuously blown away at the quality and craftsmanship of it, especially for the price. Runs good on 30:1 ethanol free 2 stroke gas. About 1/4 turn of the fuel mixture screw, 1 flick and it runs. Has a surprising amount of power running on gasoline. I 3D printed an old style tractor chassis for it to sit on, and it has no problem at all putting itself around the house. With water in it, I am able to run it for about 10 minutes before it feels like it is getting hot, although the piston does not feel tight in the bore. I keep it lubed up with some 5w-30 motor oil, and I use 95w-140 on the connecting rod as the clearance there is a bit big. Some things you need to know - it does not come with a pushrod for the exhaust valve. At least mine didn't. You can easily make one out of something like 2.5 mm brass rod, I used some 2-56 ready rod with the ends rounded off. It also comes with no instructions, though it is easy enough to figure it out. It comes with a few spare parts, one of which is a O-ring and I have no idea where that goes (looks the right size to be the piston ring or head gasket?)

Took a little to get running, needs to be bolted down as it is very unbalanced. runs well on 2 stroke (30:1) cant run for more than a few minutes at a time or it will heat up and seize up even with water in the top as there is no water jacket as detailed in the original plans. This is a copy of the engine plans released by David Kerzel of California and WAS NOT FOR PROFIT but hey that's china. Machining is better than i expected for the price.

Packing was so-so, there was a tiny nick on one flywheel and scratches on the gas tank. i will not be using the gas tank anyway. I have seen video of this engine that included a plinth, but his version does not. You must mount make your own mounting to raise the engine up to allow the flywheels to rotate. You need to make your mount heavy because the full-circle crankshaft webs cause the engine to be very unbalanced. In short, it hops and dances if not clamped down. The compression is excellent, and the parts are nicely machined, The blue anodized finish is out of character with this type of engine, but makes a perfect base for paint. I will be painting my engine. Be sure to ground the ignition box to the engine frame somewhere. A wire is included. There are 2 springs on the flywheel governor, one heavy and one light. I removed the lighter spring to slow down the engine. I run my engine on Naphtha with a little 2-cycle mixed in to provide lubrication to the piston. There are no oil cups on the engine so use motor oil in a precision oiler to oil every moving part. I posted a video showing my engine running on a temporary mount. As you will see, it is easy to hand start the engine. I used 3 AAA cells to power the ignition box. Try 1/4th turn from closed for an initial fuel needle valve setting. If you machine or collect model engines (I do both), you will appreciate what an amazing value this engine represents!
