Power:

3.7V Li-ion battery can be used single or two series, such as 18650, idle cell phone batteries ( to remove the protection board , the proposed capacity of 2000mAh or more ) or NiCd / NiMH battery pack, 4V or 6V lead acid batteries.

This module is a small production with high-pressure science inverter transformer / booster finished module, the input terminal DC 3V - 7.2V can get 20KV DC high voltage (about 1-2 cm arc) at the output can be used as high school science experiments , electronic equipment, negative ion generator, high voltage source to use when making small science.

Note:

Avoid high-pressure high-voltage module load electricity use. Must adjust the high voltage side suitable distance (before electricity, battery voltage and capacity is proportional to the distance from high-voltage arcing used when testing the arc distance from short to long experiment, prohibited from beyond the arc when powered up, the energy can not be released due to high pressure, easily damage the module)
Due to power, the internal heat is not easy, every power-on time should be controlled within a minute.
Determine whether the battery capacity can be driven approach is the maximum power output of the battery when the voltage measurement arcing. If so you can 6V maximum power output.
Two sections of small capacity lithium series of 7.2V, measured arc voltage has dropped to about 4V state, the capacity of the smaller voltage pulled lower. It is recommended to use more than one lithium battery 2000mA , 4000mA best conditions with more battery.

i love this thing. i dont know about output but it gives a really good strong spark. i only use it for a few seconds at a time. I glued it on top of a £1.00 powerbank and wired it to a momentary button. It's rechargaeble and the power bank is , of course, still a powerbank. hehe. I bought two. Questo piccolo generatore è in grado di fornire impulsi ad alta tensione con un'alimentazione a 5Vcc. Consiglio assolutamente di non superare i 6Vcc pena la distruzione immediata dell'apparecchio. Raccomando molta cautela nel maneggiare il generatore sotto tensione, la scintilla generata può essere molto pericolosa, dunque non provatela ssolutamente su vostra suocera!!!

It took a little while 'til they arrivd and as I tested them I broke 2 because I had the bipolar discharge distance too high at about 200mm and that broke the modules... I would recommend a distance of 100mm as a MAXIMUM just to make shure the module can handle it...

Good quality and funny high voltage gennerator, works well from single lithium cell - 3.7V. Spark at this voltage - 1cm, be sure to bring a HV output not far about 1cm from one to one to make a spark. Otherwise you can damage generator if powering on without a spark.(too far HV output one from another)

Had er twee besteld waarvan een het er niet deed, heb Bangood toen een mail gestuurd en gezegd dat een ervan stuk was, waarop ik een mail terug kreeg dat ze het spijtig vonden en mij een nieuwe zouden sturen, 6 dagen later had ik hem al in de bus. The high voltage output of the module has a constant value ( perhaps around 400Kvolt ). This is why you have to set a distance of not more than 15mm. between the output electrodes. At any input voltage (3V. to 12V.) the maximum lenght of the sparks remains the same: 15mm. if you increase this distance, the spark doesn't appear anymore. What changes is the frequency of the sparks. At 3 volt you have about 3-4 sparks per second and at 12 volt you have much more sparks/sec. (perhaps 30-40). As you increase the input voltage the current increases too. 3,0V=1,2A; 3,5V=1,4A; 4,0V=1,67A; 4,5V=1,8A; 5,0V=2,0A; 5,5V=2,25A; 6,0V=2,5A; 6,5V=2,75A; 7,0V=2,90A; 7,5V=3,0A; 8,0V=4,0A; 8,5V=4,0A; 9,0V=4,0A; 10V=4,0A; 11V=4,0A; 12V=4,0A. Every test lasted 3 seconds. I think that the 4 Amps maximum limit is due to the diameter of the input cables that are quite thin and also think the best supply voltage for this module is about 7V, so two 18650 in series, with no current limitation, make a good job.

Tremendous HV generator. I used just one 14500 battery to try and it made an 1.5cm arc. Very strong and noisy arc that smells ozone and looks really dangerous. Can imagine what it can do with 2x18500!!! Very nice device. NOT A TOY, be careful! But enjoy it ;)
