The stand arrived in a plastic shipping bag. This is ok as it is a solid aluminium foldable stand and would take a lot to break it. It is a convenient size when folded and has a nice carry bag. You can adjust the height and as the height increases so the angle of the equipment will get steeper and give a better viewing angle. I use the stand so that my laptop is now like a monitor. I have folded the keyboard out of the way which improves the space on my desk. I am very impressed with the build quality as well as strength. Suggested max weight to put on the stand is about 800g but my laptop is 1. 26kg and it handles that with ease. It is also very stable and doesnt fall over. It take a fair knock to tip the laptop of the stand. I am very happy with the stand and would recommend it highly. It will work great for a tablet ir mobile phone. The width of my laptop is 30.6cm and it handles that very well as long as the stand is near the middle of the screen. Overall build is good and function is great as well. Like the fact you can adjust the height and angle of the rest. They cant be adjusted independently but that is fine. I like the small size and the fact ut is so portable. Great little product

I won this item on free trial, so I will be as honest and detailed as I can. I was immediately impressed by the weight of the item as I unboxed it. It has been built with a nice sturdy cast metal base. This is fitted with five rubber pads, that helps keep it planted firmly when in use. The scissor arm's are metal, and the platform where your device sits is plastic. This is nice as it keeps the centre of gravity nice and low. The storage pouch is a nice fit and made from some thick material with a nice suede finish. The instructions are both in English and Mandarin. The English is clear and device is easy to operate. One note, the instructions rate the device to hold a tablet up to 750g. Someone previous stated it was rated to 2000g, and I would question if that's correct (see photos). I have tested the stand with all the devices I could find in our house. With a Ulefone Armor 9 in its protective case, the phone would sit on the stand ok, but the phone was too thick to sit behind the hooks on the bottom of platform. Both iPad's were too thick to sit on stand, because they were in thick cases. A Samsung phone in case sat on the stand nicely (in photos). Now for the only slightly negative comment. The stand is a bit tricky to open/close when brand new. It's mechanism is easy to understand and operate. It just tends to be a bit sticky in the sliding parts of the base. This may free up with time, or I am tempted to try some graphite to lubricate it in the future. It just makes you feel a bit like you are going to put pressure on it in the wrong way to get it to open and then break something. Overall I am quite happy with getting to do the trial on this item, and I can see it getting used frequently now that I have it.
